Overview

Cobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for a IT Operations Coordinator to drive the successful execution of technology initiatives across the Technology Division. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and maintaining standards of quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, project execution, and continuous improvement methodologies.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm (Hybrid after 6 months; 1 work from home day per week)

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

 

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to achieve project goals and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies; embed Lean practices into daily IT operations and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for project teams, providing guidance and direct support.
  • Facilitate training and adoption of continuous improvement tools and dashboards.
  • Document and standardize operational procedures for monitoring, incident management, and change control.
  • Build strong partnerships across divisions and departments to deliver programs and projects effectively.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs for project delivery, innovation, and operational reliability.
  • Oversee operational reliability and security by coordinating upgrades, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, encouraging others to do the same, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Coordinate interdependencies resolve conflicts and promote resource or knowledge sharing among the projects within a program.
  • Guide the execution of the System Deployment Lifecycle to ensure on time and on budget project completion.
  • Leverage DMAIC and COBIT frameworks to identify options and deliver solutions to resolve business problems.
  • Provide ongoing status management for assigned program(s), project(s), and key initiatives including budget, timelines, resources, and risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership within Cobb EMC across divisions and departments to obtain buy-in and effectively deliver programs and projects.
  • Drive project communications, including compiling project information for reviews and promoting Governance compliance with the project management team.
  • Serve as a resource to help develop required project documentation for all phases of project (planning, design, development, testing, training, and cutover/deployment)
  • Work closely with Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Platforms, Security and other emerging technologies.
  • Review and evaluate project documentation deliverables for completeness and accuracy; Conduct post-implementation review and communicate results to facilitate learning.
  • Develop and Train Project Managers so that the pool of project management resources at Cobb EMC is strengthened.
  • Streamline project initiation and execution by standardizing kickoff, tracking, and closure processes.
  • Drive holistic migration strategies (e.g., workflow, cloud, and application migrations) and ensure technical resources are aligned.
  • Lead DMAIC projects to address recurring pain points (e.g., ticket resolution, process bottlenecks, innovation barriers).
  • Ensure that change management processes are followed during implementations.

 



Qualifications



Minimum Requirements: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.

Minimum five years of IT experience in coordination, tracking, and execution of initiatives and IT projects across the division that impact the entire company.

Experience with system implementation work streams for project management, change management/training, solution design, system testing, and cutover planning/deployment.

Certified in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt).

Experienced in DMAIC, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

 

SKILLS:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze, isolate, document, and resolve process and application related problems.

Ability to define business process requirements and design solution alternatives.

Ability to prioritize competing priorities and manage competing demands according to company goals.

Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and planning skills.

Ability to communicate problems, solutions, costs, benefits, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to work with minimal supervision; work self-directed according to leadership’s objectives and targets.

Ability to proactively identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies and raise awareness to appropriate levels of management.

Collaborate effectively with all layers of team members within IT to prioritize, determine risks and mitigating actions, and report on progress with team members, supervisors, and managers.

Experience with Co-Pilot and Artificial Intelligence

Experience working with TEAMS, specifically applications and systems within application.

 

 

PREFERRED:

Experience with enterprise-level IT systems and infrastructure

Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and digital transformation initiatives

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
