As the Senior Project Manager, this individual will serve as the Service Delivery Manager. In this role, the individual will oversee complex projects from initiation through closure to ensure successful delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, this individual will provide functions to support project management activities at the enterprise and local levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages teams, timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful, high-quality delivery that aligns with organizational goals
  • Coordinates project managers and cross-functional teams on related projects to ensure the scheduling is monitored while training and transition are completed on time
  • Supports IT project management activities at all levels by gathering and clarifying requirements, overseeing technical components, and coordinating efforts across teams, management, and stakeholders
  • Develops detailed project plans, allocate resources, mitigate risks, communicate with stakeholders, and motivate teams to meet project objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Analyzes new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project
  • Provides issue analysis and long and short-range plans for technology selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources
  • Receives operational guidance from Leadership and manages all projects and task requirements accordingly
  • Provides advice to leadership on engineering efforts and provide technical recommendations for current projects or initiatives being considered.
  • Applies Project Management best practices in the synchronization and coordination of the development and execution of all requirements
  • Ensures engineering projects are completed in a timely manner with quality results
  • Operates in environment that has requirements in frequent political-level customer engagement in a Combined Joint-Operational Military environment
  • Ensures all Contractor personnel receive proper training, care, and access to the tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete project and task requirements
  • Provides accurate and timely reporting to key leaders and stakeholders to include consolidating the Weekly Status Report and reviewing the Projects Tracker for accuracy
  • Identifies potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them to keep the project on track
  • Performs all other tasks assigned

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree (degree in Computer Science/Management preferred) and 10 years of related skills and experience is required.
  • Must have and maintain Secret Clearance
  • Current SEC+ Certification
  • Must have PMP or Agile Methodology Certification, such as Scrum Master Certification
  • Five (5) years management and supervision of military project management
  • Knowledge of all the computer-based tools for project management
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent Written and speaking communication skills
  • Must have Agile methodology knowledge and experience
  • Must have knowledge of how to Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project
