PT Temporary Faculty Librarian - Military veterans preferred

HSLS is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary, Part-time librarian to support a grant-funded research project. This position is limited to 100 hours and will focus on providing high-level research and information management support for the development of evidence synthesis reviews.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop primary database searches to locate previous relevant reviews
• Identify and select appropriate databases to search for original studies
• Determine relevant websites and grey literature sources for inclusion
• Review and edit the research protocol to ensure clarity and alignment with best practices
• Prepare and organize search records for upload into DistillerSR
• Assist in drafting or editing the final manuscript
• Perform other duties as needed within the scope of the project

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program
• Experience with evidence synthesis review methodology and protocol development
• Proficiency in literature searching across multiple databases
• Familiarity with DistillerSR software
• Strong attention to detail and effective written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
