With nearly 7,000 vessels and 24 combatant classes built to our designs, we don’t just design ships—we design history. Our mission is to help solve today’s toughest maritime challenges with innovation, precision, and integrity.

Now, we’re looking for a Marine Engineer ready to chart a new course as a Systems Safety Engineer. • Define and validate system safety requirements across ship design, integration, and acquisition programs.

  • Identify hazards and drive solutions to reduce risk—keeping sailors, ships, and missions safe.

  • Conduct hands-on system safety reviews of designs, prototypes, and production systems.

  • Perform hazard analyses to ensure risks are understood, mitigated, and documented.

  • Collaborate in cross-functional safety working groups, providing technical expertise to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Support shipboard ordnance integration and handling by reviewing engineering changes, assessing hazards, and preparing documentation for safety review boards.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge research and studies, developing plans, testing systems, analyzing data, and reporting findings.

  • Provide technical and administrative support including documentation, data compilation, and technical writing.
