POSITION DESCRIPTION – MPA Sensor Operator/Technician
Job Title: MPA Sensor Operator/Technician
Reports to: MPA Lead Sensor Operator
Classification: Exempt
Time Commitment: Daily Rate-Rotational
Position Summary
The Sensor Operators/Technician supports airborne radar and EO/IR missions. Responsible for ensuring the appropriate sensor is operated per mission requirements. Sensor Operators must be able to operate independently in missions worldwide and must contribute as a team member to maintain the sensors to meet high aircraft availability rates 365 days per year. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, operation and servicing of radars and associated avionics related to the onboard mission equipment ensuring the equipment meets mandated requirements and specifications. Responsibilities will include interfacing with customer representatives regarding system testing and operations. Candidates will work OCONUS with a rotating schedule of 30 days on 30 days off with the probability of increasing to 45-45 or 60-60 rotations.
