Job Summary: RealAcoustix is looking for an experienced Painter with some experience in wood painting and/or manufacturing. Primary job responsibilities are to assist in the Painting and fireproofing of sheets of wood and products, and some assembly of acoustical units built out of wood. Must be able to lift to 40 lbs. Experience with Painting and/or woodworking is a must. Must be familiar with different types of paints and stains, Fine Finishes i.e. lacquers, urethane, etc. Familiarity with automated paint machines a plus!

We have the first shift positions available in our Ogden, UT manufacturing plant. Here is what we are looking for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate production records and logs.
  • Assist with material handling and inventory management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
  • Prepping and painting acoustical units and check for quality while doing so.
  • Think critically to solve any problems that may arise during assembly.
  • Work individually or in a team to build products.
  • Adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Able to run standard shop machinery and painting equipment, saws, sanders, nail guns, painting guns, etc.
  • Hand spraying and machine spraying knowledge is a must.
  • Read a Tape Measure.
  • Punctual.
  • Self-starter.
  • Read plans and follow directions.
  • Must be able to perform the physical activities necessary in an active work environment such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Able to stand in a fast-paced environment with typical 8-hour shift and overtime as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work and to be available to work from 6:00AM – 4:45PM

  • Must be able to work a variable work schedule consisting of:
    1. Four 10-hour days, 6:00am-4:45pm, with some overtime when needed.
