Responsibilities

As a Vendor Service and Automation Specialist at DHL, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of our warehouse automation and robotic systems, ensuring the the performance of the systems is maintained to optimal levels. Using your knowledge and expertise, you will:

  • Assist with preventative maintenance deployment and asset identification
  • Plan, manage resource, budgets and execute in-house automation maintenance
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture
  • Manage multiple vendors and facilitate the effective resolution of escalations related to all automation vendors
  • Take a solution orientated approach with the ability to achieve results within a quick timeframe
  • Develop the operational team to improve collective knowledge of automation systems and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in 3PL or logistics in operations and systems
  • Previous knowledge of automation and/ or robotic systems within a warehouse setting,
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and decipher OEM materials.
  • Ability to read CAD and other technical drawings.
  • Able to plan and build budget and timelines around automation maintenance
  • Be an analytical thinker, and have the can do attitude
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
