YOUR TASKS
  • Provide high quality services and maintain performance on all level of operation activities to meet customers’ needs

  • Support and assist the Service Centre Manager / Gateway Operations Manager to look for improvement and enhancement of the process flow, facilities and equipment to cope for continuous business growth and endless customers’ needs

  • Ensure the manning level is adequate and performance of all activities are meet service standards

  • Co-ordinate with other duty managers in other Service Centres and Gateway on all matters in relation to the operations especially in meeting the cut-off times and transportation arrangement to catch delivery cycle and flight departure

  • Prompt react to any customer inquires and ensuring all issues and problems are well addressed and solved

  • Support business acquisition process and provide operational support in order to achieve revenue and profitability targets

  • Coordinate shift operations to meet operational demands at a high service quality

  • Respond accurately and make prompt and effective decisions to address any issues encountered during the shift operation

  • Meet with duty supervisors / team leaders to discuss and determine route requirements and resource allocations

  • Monitor E-mail messages, initiates follow-up action or ensures the Duty Manager / Duty Supervisor on the next shift is informed

  • Monitor operations to ensure service procedures and performance standards are met and have been implemented

  • Ensure close communication and co-ordination between different functions as a result to maintain the operation efficiency

  • Responsible for maintaining the FTE expenses as a result to optimum the usage of manpower

  • Monitor cash collections for outbound and inbound consignments

  • Regularly coordinate equipment checks to initiate proactive maintenance in cases of potential failure

  • Enforce the shipment security measures and controls

  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department.

  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

  • Consult performance appraisal.

  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets.

  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

YOUR PROFILE
  • 2-3 years operations experience at supervisory position, preferably within transportation of logistics industry.
  • Customer Orientation: Is focused on identifying and understanding each customer’s needs. Expresses and acts on desire to assist customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Planning & Organizing: Sets clear and realistic goals and objectives. Establishes a course of action and a sequence of steps to ensure that activities and objectives are efficiently achieved. Is structured with good personal organization. Schedules time effectively and uses efficient work methods and tools.
  • Decision Making: Makes timely and appropriate choices based on accurate analysis and experience. Uses sound judgment even in conditions of uncertainty. Anticipates impact of decisions and plans how to manage risk.
