Laboratory Research Technician II
Job Summary
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Essential Functions
- Conduct research using murine models of intestinal inflammation, including animal handling, monitoring, and care in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines.
- Design, perform, and oversee experiments involving cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and tissue analysis.
- Analyze mitochondrial function and cellular metabolism using the Oroboros Oxygraph 2K and other relevant platforms.
- Manage and interpret large-scale datasets, including RNA-seq and metabolomics.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to manuscript preparation and grant writing.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and animal welfare regulations.
