Quality Improvement Specialist
The University of Pittsburgh’s Child Welfare Resource Center is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to join the Statewide Quality Improvement Department.
The Quality Improvement Specialist will:
Bachelor’s degree in social work or closely related field required. Master’s degree is preferred. Excellent writing skills required. The candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, collaboration skills, and facilitation skills. Knowledge of the PA Child Welfare Practice Standards and strong knowledge of public child welfare. Minimum of five years’ experience in child welfare and/or related human service field required.?Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must.
The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 80% remote work, 10% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 10% in the field. ?A valid driver’s license is required.??Typical travel will include moderate travel statewide throughout the Commonwealth.?PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. Must be able to operate computers and other office equipment; communicate effectively with management contacts as well as internal and external contacts; perform under pressure of numerous deadlines; perform multiple job tasks and projects. Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth on a moderate basis and set up and prepare audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
