ITT Enidine is looking for an Operations Scheduler to join their team in Orchard Park, NY. The Operations Scheduler will coordinate and organize material requirements to support production needs and schedules. This position is also responsible for coordinating and organizing production schedules to satisfy sales needs. Detail planning will be necessary to insure timely deliveries of product to customers. Perform all job functions in a manner as to maximize the short term and long-term profitability of the company, ITT Enidine Inc., by reviewing data compiled to level load production and controlling inventory.
Responsibilities
Responsible for meeting the Production Schedule for assigned product lines.
Run reports to review daily order input, cell production schedules.
Schedules daily work requirements for manufacturing work cells.
Review material requirements and order release quantities for component parts.
Performs analysis of customer ordering patterns. Determines if candidate for replenishment pull/level loaded shipments.
Responsible for calculation and implementation of min/max or safety stock stocking process on Major accounts.
Sets (Plan for Every Part )PFEP for internal inventory/production to support customer demand. Adjust as needed.
Assume responsibility to control customer inventory levels using data collection. Set customer inventory levels and adjust as needed.
Responsible for monitoring customer inventory and request purchase orders to support stocking levels.
Work with department Supervisors, Supply Chain and personnel to assess and discuss needed changes.
Expedite materials indirectly through interdepartmental communication.
Coordinate customer orders into existing plans for material procurement and production schedules. Coordinates and expedite engineering on special product requirements and problems that might arise.
Coordinate material obsolescence; designs phase in and phase out of components.
Monitor inventory levels, on the shop floor, and in the stockroom.
Proactively address causes of material shortage issues, which threaten the ability to maintain production schedules.
Daily contact with personnel from other departments.
Help develop and maintain the proper atmosphere by which Enidine can implement and maintain a World Class Flexible Manufacturing System
Report to management periodically progress in regards to inventory status (levels and turns), and opportunities for improvement.
Completes other work as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
3–5 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other complex manufacturing industries preferred.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools for data-driven decision-making.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Kanban, and PFEP (Plan for Every Part).
Knowledge of inventory management techniques, safety stock calculation, and demand planning.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments (production, supply chain, purchasing, etc.).
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) is preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification is preferred.
