Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished leader to join our organization as Senior Director of Claims Analytics & Innovation. In this strategic role, you will lead our data analytics and innovation initiatives focused on transforming the claims (Workers Comp, Auto, Personal and Commercial GL) landscape. You will build and manage high-performing teams that leverage advanced analytics, AI, and industry expertise to deliver impactful solutions for our clients. You will drive our analytics strategy and establish our organization as a recognized thought leader in claims intelligence and optimization.

 

Your Strategic Impact

As Senior Director of Claims Analytics & Innovation, you will significantly advance how the insurance industry approaches casualty claims management. Your leadership will establish our organization as a leading authority in claims intelligence, directly influencing senior decision-makers across our casualty client portfolio. You will develop and implement analytics strategies that generate substantial value through loss cost reduction, litigation avoidance, and operational excellence.

 

Your strategic direction will create competitive advantages for our clients while establishing new industry benchmarks. Internally, you will build and develop a high-performing analytics organization, mentor emerging analytics leaders, and create methodologies that differentiate our offerings in the marketplace. Your professional presence will foster important client relationships, support business growth initiatives, and strengthen our organization's position in claims innovation.

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement claims analytics strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on corporate strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Lead transformative initiatives that advance claims management capabilities.
  • Create and communicate a clear vision for analytics that guides teams and client solutions.

Analytics & Solution Management

  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (AI, ML, predictive modeling).
  • Develop methodologies that strengthen analytics offerings while ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Establish metrics that demonstrate business impact and create delivery approaches balancing customization with scalability.
  • Build strategic relationships with technology partners and industry organizations.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Engage with senior client executives to understand priorities and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Present compelling recommendations to leadership teams and represent the organization as a thought leader.
  • Analyze complex data to identify trends and opportunities that drive client value.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers.

Team Leadership

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams of analytics professionals and claims experts.
  • Establish best practices promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Support professional development while championing diversity of thought within the organization.
  • Drive a culture of innovation that encourages creative thinking and valuable solutions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's and industry designations (CPCU, AIC) preferred.
  • 12+ years in insurance analytics or claims operations with 5+ years in leadership role.
  • Track record driving innovation.
  • Proven success leading analytics teams delivering measurable business impact.
  • Deep understanding of casualty claims operations and litigation management.
  • Strong foundation in analytics methodologies and their business applications.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate analytics into business value.
  • Skill in presenting to and influencing senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities.
  • Understanding of AI, machine learning, and predictive modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with analytics technology implementation and optimization.
  • Experience with budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Background in analytics consulting with diverse market experience.
  • Active participation in industry organizations and standards committees.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing analytics frameworks.
  • Recognition as a subject matter expert through publications or speaking engagements.
