Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations to oversee all aspects of our manufacturing processes for our Durcon line of business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in driving operational excellence, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and meet company objectives.
2. Operational Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
4. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
5. Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize inventory management, procurement, and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
6. Safety and Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives where possible.
8. Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment of manufacturing operations with overall company goals.
10. Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing operations, regularly reporting on performance, and making adjustments as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
3. Proven ability to lead large, complex, dynamic manufacturing organizations of more than 250+ people.
4. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
5. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
6. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
7. Equally effective in communicating from the Executive Team to the shop floor.
8. Proven ability to drive organizational change and build a Winning Culture
9. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external partners.
10. Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
11. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
