This position involves working on research projects in the Balance Disorders Laboratory, related to quantitative assessment of balance and gait in aging and neurological disease, such as Parkinson’s disease. The postdoctoral scholar will work independently and be instrumental in study design, data collection and analysis, as well as writing of manuscripts and presentation of results at conferences. The position also requires supervision of research assistants and summer undergraduate/high school students working on these projects, and collaboration with clinical investigators in the Neurology Department.


Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Rehabilitation Science/Physical therapy
  • Experience with human subject research studies
  • Experience analyzing and publishing research studies
  • Experience working with patients who have neurological disorders
  • Research methodology and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties to meet milestones of grants

Additional Details

Physical Demands: Ability to prevent a fall in persons with balance disorders.
