Job Purpose:
Shape, drive and manage the real estate function and define the sub-regional functional strategy for Andean to deliver a range of integrated real estate services, and continuously optimize real estate portfolios in line with sub-regional business strategies, objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

Your tasks:
  • Define the sub-regional real estate strategy in line with sub-regional business (Divisional) strategies, objectives, corporate guidelines and policies
  • Set direction and drive delivery of real estate services and solutions across the sub-region
  • Direct preparation and own functional budgets for real estate network expansion and optimization
  • Lead, oversee and control delivery of highly complex and strategically important real estate projects and initiatives across the sub-region
  • Drive preparation of business cases for new projects, manage approval process with all relevant stakeholders and provide necessary approvals within own area of responsibility for execution of projects
  • Manage integrated real estate services and build/maintain relationship with business partners for all real estate activities
  • Negotiate contracts including costs, timelines and service terms with real estate suppliers, brokers and contractors to ensure delivery of desired real estate services and solutions
  • Drive processes, standards and efficiency to deliver state of the art facilities to increase customer visibility and confidence
  • Provide advice to senior teams, represent the Group in external forums and be seen as an ‘influencer’ within the sub-region as an internally and externally recognized thought leader
  • Develop service relationship with key business partners especially business development, finance and operations teams, and ensure cross business unit alignment within the sub-region
  • Anticipate changing needs/ trends, and build executive support and sponsorship within the sub-region
  • Be aware of market trends and proactively contribute to these, both within and external to DHL
  • Innovate, introduce and embed world class real estate practices to set up state of the art facilities

  • Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and 3rd parties
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations
  • Influence others across DHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
  • Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems
