Overview

 

The Quality Control Specialist performs a review of documents used during maintenance (travelers, inspection sheets, discrepancy sheets, approved replacement parts, etc.) as well as inspection of the article to ensure that the product meets acceptable standards of quality and is in air worthy condition. At completion of inspection, documentation and updates will be provided into Customer Portals.



Responsibilities

This role is responsible for performing inspection tasks related to in-process, Final and/or Receiving Inspection areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform Inspection on all products within a timely manner
  • Determine product conformance or non-conformance to drawings
  • Use SAP to transact product to inventory or to MRB
  • Write non-conformances for product that is not acceptable to requirements
  • Detailed review of product against requirements
  • Document results in Excel and SAP


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED required, with 3 years of technical industry experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of use of measuring equipment – calipers, micrometer optical measurement equipment
  • Blueprint reading with GD&T, test specifications
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system knowledge
  • Lift up to 35lbs unassisted, on a regular basis
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Bend, lift, reach and squat throughout the day
  • Ability to stoop and squat 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook
  • Able to speak, read, and understand English; clear verbal communication
  • Experience in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) use and other inspection related documentation as required
  • Must be able to interpret data from CMM
  • Military, industry automotive or aerospace standards experience. Spacecraft component and sub-systems experience.
  • Work experience in an organization with AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified
  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the visibility of NO FORN projects
