Position Summary
Post-doc will be assigned to assist Dr. Elliott Gall in the Healthy Buildings Research Laboratory. Work duties will encompass two directions. First, the postdoc will conduct research on the topic of indoor surfaces and wildfire smoke. The postdoc will develop experiments and models to characterize how indoor surfaces retain, transform, and contribute long-term exposure pathways to wildfire smoke constituents. Second, the postdoc will conduct research on the topic of cooking and indoor air quality. The postdoc will support a field study to evaluate if an induction cooktop intervention improves indoor air quality in low-income homes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with mass spectrometry (GC-MS, LC-MS, and/or PTR-MS).
- Experience/familiarity with air monitoring for criteria pollutants and analytical methods that require wet chemistry.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Oregon and to travel to and manage field sites.
- While not required, an ability to speak Spanish may be helpful on job sites.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity.
The starting annual salary for this position will be $62,232.
