Responsibilities

1st Shift  - 6:00 am  - 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm on Friday - overtime on Saturdays as business needs dictate.

  • Training is a must from 5:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • After training flexible start time between 5:30 am - 7:00 am

Starting Pay $18.18 - $22.99/hr - Additional compensation may be available based upon experience.

Our Globe CARES Team is now hiring for a Cleaning and Repair Evaluation Services "CARES" Representative (Customer Service/Manufacturing Support) who will assist customers with support for advanced cleaning, repairs/alterations and inspection required by NFPA 1851, Standard on Selection, Care and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting.

 

This position will be counted on to perform the following tasks:

  • Work with customer calls, questions, and inquiries with minimal guidance.
  • Send order clarification requests to customers.
  • Follow job duties by relying on established policies and procedures.
  • Will do inspection, review, and evaluation of turnout gear (fire suits) and use a hydrostatic tester (willing to train).
  • Will learn and use standard production work instructions, option placement, and general repairs.
  • Other Duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Requirements:

    • Computer skills: 
      • Intermediate skill with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
      • Ability to navigate order system and access basic data. 
    • Ability to read, write and speak intermediate level English to clearly and accurately convey basic information. 
    • Listen carefully to customers and seeks to understand their needs. 
    • Maintains professional demeanor in customer telephone interactions.

    Education Required:

        • High School Diploma or equivalent 

     

    Preferred / Willing to train:

    • Awareness of NFPA 1851 & NFPA 1971 standards
    • Ability to work with stitching team to evaluate feasibility of repairs and troubleshoot areas of concern before responding to customer.
    • Basic knowledge of product specific characteristics as well as option placements, and production capabilities.
    • Support field staff with wear test modifications/inquiries, factory or dealer errors, and general repair questions. 
    • Must be able to independently assess feasibility of request and generate appropriate costs based on price book guidelines. 
    • Investigate and resolve 75% of customer inquiries, questions, calls, etc. before appropriately seeking assistance from next level.
    • Prioritize own tasks in order to complete them in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision.
    • Positively approaches change or new situations.
