The Senior Contracts Administrator will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all aspects of contract administration. This position requires expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other government contracting regulations. The Senior Contracts Administrator must be adept at briefing leadership staff and will ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support the company’s growth by managing contract negotiations, administration, and closeouts. Experience in service contracts, GSA schedules, and OTAs are essential for success. This role also involves mentoring junior staff and implementing scalable processes to support the company’s expanding portfolio of contracts.
Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Administer and manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including proposal support, negotiation, execution, modification, and closeout.
- Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, and other contractual documents.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor contract performance and identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on changes to FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations, and advise leadership on potential impacts.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement scalable contract administration processes and tools to support the company’s growth.
- Establish best practices for contract management and ensure consistent application across the organization.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior contracts staff, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, finance, and operations, to ensure contract alignment with company objectives.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized contract files and records in accordance with company policies and government requirements.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on contract status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government contracting officers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to support contract execution and growth.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field
- NCMA certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) or equivalent is highly desirable
Experience:
- 12 + years of contracting experience with 8+ years of experience in contract administration and at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role
- Contracting experience as an employee of both the government (customer) and contractor, preferred
- Extensive experience with GSA schedules, government contracts, including cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contracts, large IDIQs, service contracts, and BPAs
- Experience in contract and sub-contract negotiations, and TA development and negotiation
- Proven ability to manage contracts in a small business environment, with a focus on scalability and growth
- CMMI experience
- Legal and Costpoint experience are a plus
Skills:
- Expertise and deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations
- Understanding of SBA rules and regulations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and resolve complex issues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Special Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation
