To keep up with our growth, we are seeking a Field Technician who will support our company's product delivery to include the onsite install inspections, field install documentation creation, finished goods quality inspections, onsite field repairs, and 3rd party testing management.
About the Role
This role is a full-time, salary role that directly reports to the Engineering Manager. This role will be remote/travel where day-to-day work will occur at your in-home office as well as in the field with a home base of TX.
This role will require travel requirements of up to 80% travel requirements, fully paid by the company, to various locations depending on business needs.

Essential Functions: Install and Quality Support
Provide expertise and answer questions when customers need assistance with installing finished goods.
Conduct on-site post installation inspections to determine if they were completed as per our manual and if they are covered by the company warranty.
Conduct on-site visits to fix and remediate quality issues in the field.
Conduct Webex meetings with customers to review workmanship of installation and to provide instructions on remediation.
Maintain records and documents related to warranty and potential warranty claims.
Review internal and external design and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct quality inspections of finished goods prior to their shipment to job sites.
Generate quality control reports, and site visit reports for all work completed.
Core Requirements
Skilled in reading and interpreting construction blueprints
Mechanically proficient with hands-on experience in field installations and repairs
Experienced working in the field on construction sites making repairs or installing mechanical systems
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication; roofing experience is a plus
Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills
Customer-focused with a commitment to quality and service
Collaborative team player with leadership and training capabilities
Adaptable, open to learning, and comfortable with new challenges
Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough in documentation
Self-starter with strong time management and task prioritization skills
Capable of managing multiple workstreams in dynamic environments
Military technical/mechanical experience is a highly desired asset
Work Environment
Hybrid field/home-office; TX home base.
Up to 80% travel (air + driving); overnights as needed.
Possible active construction/roof sites; heights, open edges, uneven/slick surfaces.
Weather exposure (heat/cold/wind/rain); noise, dust, odors/fumes.
Variable hours to meet site/testing needs.
Strict PPE/safety (fall protection, hard hat, etc.).
Physical Demands
Frequent walking/standing; climbing ladders, stairs, and lifts.
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently, 75 lbs occasionally (team/assisted lifts).
Regular bending, kneeling, crouching; reaching overhead/away from body.
Comfortable working at heights while tied off.
Hand/power-tool use; fine motor tasks with sealants/fasteners/measurements.
Adequate vision/hearing for inspections and communication.
Regular driving; valid license and safe record.

The starting compensation range for this position is $85,000 �¢���� $100,000/yr and will be determined based upon a candidate's experience and location.
The typical working hours for this position will be Monday �¢���� Friday, 8 am �¢���� 4:30 pm but can vary occasionally depending on job site access.
This job position is nonexempt to overtime as determined by the FLSA standards.
Travel is expected for this position up to 80% which is anticipated to be overnight in several domestic locations. International travel may be required in the future depending on business needs.
