About the Role:
As a Financial Analyst you’ll partner with leaders across departments to build budgets, forecasts, and business cases that guide strategic decisions. You’ll analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide insights that improve performance across flight operations, maintenance, and corporate functions. A typical day includes variance analysis, KPI development, and preparing results for senior leadership. You’ll also support ad hoc projects and capital investments, making your work both impactful and highly visible.
A Day in the Life:
You'll...
Gain a deep understanding of JSX’s flight business model and identify key financial drivers contributing to its success
Develop department budgets and forecasts by partnering with key business leaders.
Provide monthly review of results including department variance analysis.
Analyze the company’s financial and operational performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop financial and non-financial key performance indicators to measure success.
Focus on ad hoc projects looking at flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and other corporate departments.
Support internal capital projects which includes business case development and preparation for executive approval.
Work with accounting to reclass and align expenses appropriately.
Prepare and present financial information to senior management.

Required Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited university
0 - 2 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or related field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Must be proficient with MS Excel
Preferred Experience:
Airline industry experience preferred, but not required
General accounting and month end close experience preferred, but not required
Experience designing reports in an ERP system preferred, but not required
Experience with analytical software such as Workday Adaptive Planning or Power BI preferred, but not required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of Sage Intacct including the Budgeting/Planning module preferred, but not required
