Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $23.08.

Position Overview:

Working from verbal, written, or computer-generated instructions and according to established operating procedures. Performs the following essential functions below:

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
  • Wear protective clothing & equipment as required
  • Review and complete training on JSAs/SOPs
  • Complete four training sign-offs at either the Packaging station, EDL 1, EDL 2, Polypack, Railcar, Unwind station, Slitter station, Forklift Operator 1 training course (mandatory), Forklift Operator 2 training course, or Lab Tech 1
  • Complete Get Data training such as daily checklists, housekeeping checklists, forklift checklists, etc.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts using SAP
  • Assist in other departments as needed

Requirements: (education, skills and abilities)

Must be able to tolerate heat, good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills as required. The ability to set up and follow simple work plans and communicate with co-workers is essential. Basic analytical and computer skills are necessary. Employees must pass forklift and all plant related safety program tests. Be qualified to lead the daily production requirements of the TPO manufacturing process.

Physical Requirements: (education, skills and abilities)

This is a position in an industrial, manufacturing environment, requiring:

  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.
  • The ability to manually lift at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • The ability to execute both fine and gross motor hand movements.
    • Repetitive hand movements.
    • Grasping objects.
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
  • The ability to withstand the rigors of working an 8-12+ hour shifts.

Work Devices, Tools, and Equipment

Forklift and attachments, propane tanks, overhead hoists, banders, and small hand tools.
