Employment Specialist


ASC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Employment Specialist to support our hiring efforts for hourly manufacturing and production-level positions. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for candidates, playing a critical part in attracting, screening, and hiring the skilled workforce that powers our operations. This is a high-volume staffing position where relationship-building, organization, and a proactive approach are key to success.


How You Will Help


  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for hourly manufacturing, production, and related roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of open positions.
  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, career fairs, community outreach, and employee referrals.
  • Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, and applicant tracking system (ATS) records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate interviews, manage communication with candidates, and provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Facilitate pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and onboarding activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, workforce development programs, and community organizations to support hiring initiatives.


What You Will Bring


  • 2+ years of staffing, recruiting, or HR experience (manufacturing/production industry experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to recruit and hire for high-volume hourly positions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with candidates at all levels.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in staffing.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
