Hillebrand Gori is looking for a Cased Goods Export Operator

Job Purpose

As an Export Operator you will be responsible for handling day-to-day export operations (sea and airfreight), processing orders, handling documentation, invoicing and managing financial files. Tracking and providing weekly shipment updates, whilst delivering customer service excellence at all times.

You will have direct relationships with your customers, suppliers, depots, truckers, shipping lines, sub-contractors, as well as other relevant governing bodies.

It will be a requirement for the incumbent to be fully aware of Hillebrand Gori’s global commitment to our shipping line partners and ensure that the company’s strong image and high level of credibility is maintained .

 

In addition, it is envisaged that the successful applicant will be able to use their depth of knowledge, broad range of experience and advanced communication skills to enable them work relatively independently.

 

Reporting directly to the Export Cased Goods Team Leader in Sydney, you will be responsible to ensure all aspects of export operations are complied with and according to the company’s standards.

 

The position involves extensive communication with local customers and suppliers, as well as overseas Hillebrand Gori offices and / or agents.

   

The main responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

Key tasks

  • Day to day Export Operations – Sea and Airfreight
  • Entering orders into our operating system (Flow)
  • Daily monitoring of notifications & milestones
  • Follow up and tracking of orders with our Import Handling Office or agents
  • Provide updates to supplier and customers
  • Collate necessary documentation for departure
  • Prepare Export Declarations in Tradegate
  • Coordinate transport from suppliers warehouses (depots/customers)
  • Coordinate cargo insulation – container and pallet liners
  • Manage and maintain Financial Files, including invoices to the customer
  • Assist team leader with month end process and weekly closing of financial files
   

The position also involves extensive communication within the Sydney office. A strong relationship will be developed with the direct superiors and other departments within the office to ensure any matters are addressed and dealt with immediately. Treat all your co-workers with respect and respond to communications in a timely and professional manner.

 

The requirements and skills for this role include:

  • Proven Operational Experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Computer use competency.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
