Oracle Database and Middleware Administrator - Military veterans preferred

RMC is seeking a skilled Oracle Database and Middleware Administrator to join our Service Delivery IPT team. In this role, you will manage Oracle Database, Fusion Middleware, WebLogic, and related technologies, ensuring performance, security, and availability across mission-critical environments. Experience with AWS services, security compliance (STIG, FIPS 140), and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and secure Oracle Database, WebLogic Server, Fusion Middleware, Identity Management, and Enterprise Manager.
• Manage production, test, and development environments, including backup/recovery, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Deploy and maintain WebLogic applications, domains, SSL certificates, and encryption.
• Implement compliance controls (STIG, FIPS 140-2, SSL/PKI).
• Manage AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3 in hybrid environments (Linux/Windows).
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and security staff to optimize enterprise applications.
• Provide on-call support for critical issues and scheduled maintenance.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle Database administration (12c, 19c+).
• 4+ years managing Fusion Middleware, WebLogic, Identity Management, and web servers (Oracle HTTP Server, Apache, Tomcat).
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows administration and scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle security standards and compliance frameworks.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Cloud-native database or hybrid deployment knowledge.
• High-availability/DR and virtualization experience.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $90,000 to $120,000 (annually).
