We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day support for all company desktops, laptops, and user accounts. This role will ensure our devices remain secure, up-to-date, and compliant by leveraging Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Defender. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, user-focused, and able to resolve issues quickly while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

 

This is an in-office position that can be in either Sterling, VA or Plymouth, MI



Responsibilities

User & Device Support

 

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS devices.
  • Respond to support requests and resolve user issues promptly.

Account & Access Management

 

  • Assist with account creation, updates, and deactivation in Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Support MFA and conditional access policies to maintain secure logins.
  • Help users with password resets, login issues, and device enrollment.

Endpoint Management

 

  • Use Microsoft Intune to enroll devices, apply configuration profiles, and ensure compliance.
  • Deploy and update software and security patches across all endpoints.
  • Monitor device health and security status using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

Security & Compliance

 

  • Follow security best practices for devices and accounts.
  • Investigate and remediate endpoint security alerts.
  • Ensure devices remain compliant with company policies.

Documentation & Process Improvement

 

  • Keep accurate records of troubleshooting steps, configurations, and device inventory.
  • Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.


Qualifications



Required:

 

  • 3- 5  years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11; macOS experience a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred:

 

  • Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-900, or SC-900.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices in an MDM environment.
