BASIC FUNCTION
The Marketing Specialist – Content Creation is responsible for developing, writing, editing, and proofing content that supports WEOKIE Federal Credit Union’s overall marketing strategy. This position focuses heavily on social media content creation (graphics and video), email marketing, copywriting, and proofreading to ensure clear, consistent, and compliant communication with members. Assists Director of Marketing in developing, executing, and reporting on the annual product promotion calendar, email campaigns, and social media content calendar.Â
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
- Create engaging social media content, including platform-specific graphics, video, and copy that align with WEOKIE’s brand and credit union goals. Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and monitoring of social media communities.
- Develop, write, proof, and distribute email campaigns that highlight products, services, promotions, and community events. Collaborate with team members to refine segmentation and messaging strategies.
- Provide copywriting and editing support for marketing campaigns, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance across digital channels.
- Collaborate with marketing team members on campaign strategies, messaging, and performance tracking.
- Support the Marketing Department with project coordination, vendor communications, and event promotions as needed.
- Stay current on trends in digital marketing, social media, email, and member engagement strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, i.e. reporting, budgeting, etc. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.Â

- Deliver accurate, creative, and timely content across all assigned channels with minimal errors.
- Achieve planned social media and email engagement goals, supporting broader market share, loan, and deposit growth objectives.
- Provide effective assistance to the marketing team in planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice while ensuring compliance with credit union and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with management in a timely manner, submitting reports and updates as required.
- Provide informed, professional, and accurate services to both internal staff and members, maintaining a positive image for WEOKIE.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required in either marketing, advertising, or communications and/or minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience.Â
- Strong organizational skills (planning and prioritizing) and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) are critical
- Handson experience with graphic design, content creation, copywriting, and use of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft products, and Asana Project Management Platform. Experience with HubSpot programing also preferred.Â
- Must be detail-oriented, with an ability to work independently, under pressure, and within moving deadlines.
- Ability to blend technical and creative skills from a business point of view to provide seamless support of department initiatives.
- Ability to represent WEOKIE professionally, interact effectively and deliver engaging presentations to various audiences, including members, businesspartners, and employees articulate the Credit Union movement, the WEOKIE difference, the WEOKIE brand, and the benefits of WEOKIE products and services that result in deeper and more meaningful relationships.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.Â
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.Â
