Job Description

AquaSmart is the creator and exclusive global manufacturer of SeaQuest, a unique water treatment additive made from 100% food-grade ingredients that continuously keeps ortho-phosphate and poly-phosphate in equilibrium without forming a layer of mineral scale inside water pipes. AquaSmart, Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Colonial Group, Inc.

Aqua Smart Inc. is seeking a dynamic salesperson to bring clean water to people around the world by focusing on growth of corrosion control chemistry.

Aqua Smart Inc. is hiring a regional sales representative to support the following regions:
Southeast Louisiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive growth of SeaQuest at new customers within a defined geographical territory. Specifically:

  • Build relationships with prospective customers: schedule introductory meetings, give presentations / demonstrations, understand their purchasing process and how to leverage it into SeaQuest trials and ultimately sales.
  • Build relationships with the local DEP / DOH / EPA / Consultants to educate them on SeaQuest and then understand / do what it takes to gain their support.
  • Actively participate in local trade associations: join committees, exhibit at shows, give technical presentations, etc…
  • Support the service company in your region (as applicable) as the product expert.
  • Work with the local Colonial Chemical Services sales team (as applicable) on joint opportunities / leveraging relationships.
  • Document all activity in the AquaSmart CRM and comply with all reporting requirements of the business.
  • Always follow all AquaSmart and customer safety procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ownership mentality: must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Flexible: must be able to change priorities quickly based on the needs of the business and maintain a high level of performance and a positive attitude
  • 5 Years of experience in the water treatment industry
  • Technical degree
  • Clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to routinely work in the field inspecting chemical feed equipment / tanks / dosing systems / etc. as needed at a municipal water treatment facility.
