Promotes the University at recruitment functions and assists in sourcing methods to attract active and passive job seekers. Cultivates relationships with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs.
The University of Pittsburgh’s internal temporary staffing agency, All-Temps, places employees into temporary and temp-to-hire positions within the university and that span all categories including administrative, accounting, research, IT, maintenance, cleaning and skilled trades.
This specific role will focus recruiting efforts within the General Labor category which includes Cleaners, Maintenance, Skilled Trades, Drivers, Retail and other similar roles.
Establishes, cultivates, and maintains ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the business unit and its recruitment needs.
In addition, the Recruiter is responsible for providing general advice and counsel about the temporary employment process and being a resource to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory matters pertaining to employment issues. The Recruiter will also assist with data management of weekly reports and the temporary staff evaluation process.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
