Position: Lecturer - Department of Art & Archaeology
Description:
The Department of Art and Archaeology occasionally has curricular needs for lecturers to teach, co-teach, or lead undergraduate precepts (sections) in various areas of Art History and accepts applications in advance if such lecturers are needed. Such positions could require leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Any appointments and duty time are subject to enrollment and would have an expected start date of January 16, 2026, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need. An advanced degree is required; PhD or doctoral candidates preferred. Expected Salary Range: $81,700 - $86,000.
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
