Eagleview, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Director, Flight Support reporting to the Vice President, Imagery Acquisition & Execution. The Director, Flight Support serves as a key member of the Operations leadership team and will focus on improving the performance and output of the team that works to maximize capture system up-time, perform quality system installation, system research and development support, and delivery of imagery data from the field for processing. We are a fast paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies with a focus on safety.
The Director, Flight Support will have a proven ability to implement and maintain significant process improvement and overall process continuity. The Director must possess a demonstrated ability to manage performance through subordinate leaders as well as peers and senior executives, to develop and maintain an outstanding environment of collaborative success. Experience in lean management, logistics, scheduling, and a background in using technology to solve real world problems are attributes that are necessary to fulfill the role of the Director, Flight Support.
• Ensure self and team are following all expected safety and regulatory compliance requirements in conduct of their duties
• Oversee annual camera system install/uninstall inventory, scheduling & staffing deployment activities to ensure assets are available for operation when needed
• Supervise data input process and quality and perform root cause analysis to provide visibility to camera system challenges and opportunities to improve performance to leadership
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product in designing, testing, building, and deploying new camera system software and hardware
• Use lean best practices and investigations to drive departmental efficiencies and metrics to maximize capture system up-time and team performance
• Effectively communicate camera system hardware and software issues, design strategies to improve, and drive collaboration to find and implement resolutions
• Suggest, test, implement, and adoption tools necessary for departmental success including task management and quality control
• Provide direction to on-site and remote Subject Matter Experts to solve problems and maintain internal and external training programs
• Manage and maintain external vendor relationships in conjunction with other IA&E leaders
• Supervise a shipping manager and operations including shipping to Canada
• Partner with other leaders to drive synergy, efficiency, and a positive working environment in the execution of our work product
• Support disaster response activities and other duties as assigned
• Four-year degree, ideally with a concentration in business, finance, management, logistics, aviation or related topics or commensurate work experience
• 5 or more years of experience leading technical teams of people and projects with proven results
• Proven ability to communicate through multiple levels of the organization including with C-suite executives to drive results
• Ability to provide oversight to large and complicated cross-departmental initiatives
• Experience developing KPIs and analyzing metrics
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams in the achievement of meaningful and lofty goals
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
• Well-organized, dependable, self-sufficient
Preferred Experience:
• Master’s degree in any related field
• Other professional certification such as PMP, commercial pilots license, mechanic, six sigma belt
The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. All Fulltime (30+ hours) employees are eligible for PTO, Sick, and Parental Leave; Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; 401(k) Plan; Health Savings Account; Life Insurance; Employee Assistance Program; Pet Insurance. This is a full-time role based out of Rochester, NY with a base salary range of $95,000-$130,000/year, bonus eligible.
