Faculty Professor Assistant - Full-Time - Military veterans preferred

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking an Assistant Professor in the Tenure Stream, specifically a Neurosurgeon specializing in pediatric neurosurgery.

This position will participate in the development of programs and services to serve the needs of neurosurgical spine and oncology patients as deemed medically appropriate. Assist with the interdisciplinary development of continuing medical education for the medical staff. Contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the specialty of enabling surgical technologies through basic and/or applied research investigation, either independently or in conjunction with other investigators. Participate and provide leadership in the teaching component of house staff and fellow training programs for Neurological Surgery postgraduate trainees.

Minimum education and requirements to be considered: - M.D - Board eligible or certified in Neurosurgery - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Success in authoring papers published in refereed journals.
