Job Purpose:

 DHL Procurement is hiring an analyst to join our Sourcing Center of Excellence team in Bogota, Colombia, with two to four years of corporate experience in Procurement or Sourcing. Responsible for sourcing process in multi-categories for multiple business units across the DPDHL Group. This position will provide analytical support with sourcing initiatives utilizing knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Data collection, spend and savings analysis, preparation and interpretation of complex data, demand/consumption forecasting, supplier market analysis, supplier assessment, and comparative bid analysis
  • Analytical support during each of the procurement steps to procurement management and staff (bid and tenders)


Your Tasks:

  • Sourcing of multi-categories; including demand and market analysis, tender management, comparative bid analysis, solution design, and continuous development of processes and tools to reflect latest market developments.
  • Management of a wide and comprehensive supplier portfolio.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in different business units across various countries to identify and leverage market opportunities (account management).
  • Take corrective and preventative actions to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded under pressure.
  • Analyze current tender processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Provides analytical support during each of the procurement steps including, but not limited to, demand/consumption forecasting, supplier market analysis, supplier assessment, solution design and comparative bid analysis.
  • Analytical support for cost reduction, capital reduction, cost avoidance and capacity sourcing projects.
  • Collect, prepare, and interpret data for business decisions and strategy development.
  • Analyze DPDHL spend profiles to identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Preparation of documents for sourcing purposes, hand-over and the implementation processes.
  • Manage tracking, reporting and commenting on KPIs and procurement initiatives and transform them into managerial information.
  • Prepare presentations, collect information and material for communication to supplier market, internal DPDHL colleagues and external customers.
  • May provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to other colleagues as needed.


Your Profile:

  • BA/BS degree and 3 years’ experience or MBA and 1 year experience in business, finance, administration, engineering or equivalent experience requiredEducation in logistics and/or supply chain management would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of procurement habits, practices, procedures and systems.  Bid and Tender Process experience preferred.
  • Experience working with e-Sourcing platforms like JAGGAER preferred, but not required (FMR: CombineNet / SciQuest).
  • Experience working in international business as an analyst or equivalent function is preferable.
  • Fluency with spoken and written English, Spanish and Portuguese languages is essential to cooperate with regional and international business units. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required (mandatory) and good knowledge of the general Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and other IT applications.
  • Experience with special Excel or Visualization tools (PowerQuery, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and coordination skills with the ability to communicate business issues in a clear and simple manner, deal with ambiguous situations and manage relationships with global, regional, and country level procurement organizations.
  • Logical, analytical and thorough approach to complex matters.
