Overview

The Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to company policies. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage logistics, inventory, and cross-functional coordination effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily department operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management and warehouse processes.
  • Monitor and maintain operational KPIs, addressing gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Lead and manage warehouse staff.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to develop team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify inefficiencies in operations and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative solutions into operations.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Investigate and address incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs.
  • Ensure resources, including equipment and staff, are allocated effectively to meet operational goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Program Management teams to align operations with business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance to senior leadership.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational challenges impacting customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years of experience in operations or warehouse management, preferably in a distribution environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and WMS software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
