NT Concepts is seeking an experienced Senior Automated Test Engineer for an exciting data transformation opportunity within our Intel Community.

Location/Flexibility: Local to the DC Metro Area, Remote Flexible

Responsibilities

As a Senior QA/Test Engineer, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of testing activities across complex projects. You will ensure the quality and reliability of software systems through comprehensive testing strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Plan, execute, control, and close testing deliverables for one or more projects.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for functional, system, regression, and Section 508 compliance testing.
• Document and manage project issues, clarifications, and defects; proactively identify and communicate project risks.
• Collaborate with project teams to create test documentation and risk mitigation strategies.
• Analyze, triage, and assign post-production defects.
• Build and maintain QA/test functions, including automation frameworks and performance testing tools.
• Automate test cases using Python and Java to reduce manual testing efforts.
• Perform backend testing using SQL, including execution of stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and manage source control using Git.
• Mentor junior developers and testers, providing guidance and support.
• Communicate testing processes, results, and technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • 710+ years in manual, automated, regression, and performance testing.
  • 68 years of backend testing experience using SQL and database objects.
  • Proven ability to build QA/test functions from the ground up.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Java, including Spring framework.
  • Skilled in Python for automation scripting and test cycle execution.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Soft Skills:
  • Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience testing and validating AI/ML models and algorithms.
• Ability to develop code generators for automated test creation.

• Strong proficiency in Java, including design, implementation, and debugging; familiarity with the Spring framework.
• Experience with Robot Framework for test automation.
• Familiarity with Robot Runner for executing and managing Robot Framework tests.
• Experience working with Postman Collection for API testing and automation.
• Experience with JUnit for unit testing in Java-based applications.
• Familiarity with Drools for business rule management and validation.
• Experience with REF (Rules Engine Framework) for rule-based logic and automation.
• Proficiency in working with JSON for data exchange and validation in test scenarios.
• Experience with JSON-LD for linked data and semantic web applications.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 10-15 pounds at times.
