Overview
The Freight Invoice Audit Analyst is responsible for supporting ITT’s needs to ensure accurate freight invoices, on-time payments to carriers, freight spend reporting and system training to ITT site level employees
Responsibilities
Maintain daily contact with outsourced freight bill audit and payment provider (FBAP) for freight audit issues, concerns and audit rule maintenance.
Work with ITT Global Logistics Sourcing to ensure accurate ITT contract rates are loaded in the FBAP freight invoice audit system.
Monitor freight payment timelines for key freight providers and proactively investigate payment delays.
Maintain regular contact with key ITT site level employees for freight audit follow up and financial reporting needs.
Work closely with FRC A/P to understand freight payment timelines and proper assignment of invoices charges to the correct locations.
Project lead to help drive initiatives related to freight audit and reporting.
Assist with the generation and analysis of reports and dashboards available in the ITT/FBAP reporting suites.
Assist ITT sites with data review in invoice audit Exception Management.
Proactively analyze exceptions and review them with ITT sites/carriers/FBAP for resolution.
Monitor internal processing queues in FBAP system to ensure prompt validation and resolution.
Monitor audit accuracy and review carrier contracts and rates.
Work with FBAP Business Analysts to troubleshoot logic issues and perform proactive analysis.
Work with FBAP Carrier Relations to support timely ITT carrier payments.
Provide training to new ITT employees assigned to the FBAP partnership.
Ensure that business logic and validations are current and working according to the needs of ITT.
Maintain and update all master tables with accurate data to ensure a successful validation process.
Qualifications
A) Minimum professional and educational background desired:
Bachelor's degree is preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be required.
1-3 years of related experience is required
Proficiency (knowledge and ability) to utilize current software programs for web-based and desk-top applications including strong Microsoft Office skills including the ability to create reports utilizing Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, or database applications.
Deep knowledge and understanding of logistics concepts and freight rate structures for all modes of transportation (Small Parcel, LTL, FTL, Int’l Air Freight, Int’l Ocean Freight).
Effective collaboration skills to cultivate successful working relationships that align people and processes.
Strong Analytical and problem solving skills and background preferred.
