In this pivotal role, you will drive growth by targeting high-potential Chinese customers expanding cross-border into other regions outside of China and positioning DHL as their strategic supply chain partner. You'll collaborate with various teams to win new business, adapt our approaches to meet the unique needs of these customers, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Target high-growth Chinese customers expanding into new regions and position DHL as their strategic supply chain partner.
  • Support DSC country teams in the bidding process while leveraging DMS engagement with Chinese stakeholders.
  • Adapt business practices to meet the specific needs of Chinese companies, enhancing their competitiveness in new markets.
  • Utilize best-practice approaches from the Global Account Development (GAD) team to drive success.
  • Grow share of wallet and maximize business retention while protecting margins.
  • Leverage relationships with DMS, CSI, and other business units to open doors with target accounts.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and ensure operational alignment across regions.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate complex opportunities for global Chinese customer accounts expanding cross-border.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders and monitor the implementation of solutions.
  • Drive innovation by leveraging best practices and integrating them into account plans.
  • Engage with the DSC global community to maintain accurate customer data.

Requirements

What are we looking for from you?

  • Proven track record in complex global, regional, and local matrix environments across DHL Business Units.
  • Minimum of 8 years in the logistics industry, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role focused on account management and business development.
  • Extensive knowledge of the supply chain and contract logistics business.
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills at all levels, with a history of managing large, complex projects.
  • Degree-level education (ideally at the Master’s level) and demonstrable continuous professional development.
  • Fluent in English and native proficiency in Chinese.
