Position Title: Database Developer

NT Concepts is seeking an experienced Database Developer for an exciting data transformation opportunity within our Intel Community.

 

Clearance: Active TS/SCI CI Poly

Location/Flexibility: Local to the DC Metro Area, Remote Flexible

 

Responsibilities

As a PostgreSQL Database Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain database systems to support applications and business operations. You will work closely with developers and analysts to ensure seamless integration, optimal performance, and secure data management.

  • Database Design & Development: Create efficient and scalable database structures tailored to application and user requirements.
  • SQL Programming: Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models and database schemas.
  • Performance Tuning: Enhance database performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and other tuning techniques.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through best practices and validation measures.
  • Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders to integrate databases with applications and systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure reliable operation.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, code, and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree and/or 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulating, and managing data.
    • Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Neo4j.
    • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize database systems.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 10-15 pounds at times.
