We are part of the Department of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and encompass the Sections of Hospital Medicine at the University (Marquam Hill campus), Hillsboro Medical Center, and the Portland VA Medical Center.
Our faculty members are all hospitalists: clinicians whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients and pre-operative medical consultation. Their activities include direct patient care teaching, research, and leadership related to hospital medicine.
Our faculty strive to provide quality, compassionate and evidence-based patient centered care. We are engaged in service, research and education throughout the institution. We are closely affiliated with the OHSU Internal Medicine Residency Program, and our faculty actively participate in multiple ways through the OHSU School of Medicine MD Program including classroom-based learning and 3rd/4th year clinical experiences.
Function/Duties of PositionThe Division Head will be responsible for full program development and oversight, including the Division’s clinical, educational, and research program activities for a group of innovative, engaged and collaborative physicians. This role is responsible for shaping the Division’s long-term vision while fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
