CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned mission focused solutions and digital transformation company, is looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team supporting a Federal client. The candidate will provide business analyst and data science support for quality assurance, document management, and data management for specialized applications that support mission-critical scientific research activities. Candidates should have strong capabilities in the areas of data analysis, testing and client/customer support.

The budgeted salary for this position is $75,000-100,000.00 per year.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute ad hoc SQL queries across Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis; create views, join tables, and generate statistical insights.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Maintain and update project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes.
  • Lead and participate in weekly client status meetings for designated applications.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) testing by developing and executing test scripts.
  • Provide exceptional client and customer support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Perform monthly updates, patching, and upgrades of Drupal-based applications.
  • Monitor and maintain Drupal modules and core components to ensure system stability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Drupal-related issues, including performance optimization and configuration.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to implement new features and enhancements in Drupal environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in Drupal development and maintenance.
  • Staff may be required to report on customer site therefore only applicants residing in the MD/VA/DC Metro area will be considered. All Telework must be pre-authorized.

  • Strong in requirements gathering, testing and client/customer support.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and customer support skills (client satisfaction focused)

  • Ability to understand and simplify customer requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of industry standards.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements
  • Attention to detail and thorough when performing work
  • Candidates must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
  • · 2–3 years of software-related experience, including database management.
  • · Hands-on experience with SQL and various database platforms.
  • Experience with QA/QC testing using tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
  • Familiarity with SAS, R, and BI tools.
  • Experience maintaining and updating Drupal applications.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and troubleshoot operating systems and software products.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and client engagement.
