Arts Communications & Events Coordinator



Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
• Reserve rooms and coordinate access with campus security across campus classrooms and venues
• Arrange piano tuning, audio/visual support, and photography/videography.
• Coordinate ticketing logistics and front-of-house staffing with the Patron and Rental Services Manager.

Web & Social Media Management Marketing & Outreach
• Design with templates and distribute promotional materials (posters, programs)
• Collaborate with Dietrich marketing and communications teams
• Create and share content across Facebook, Instagram
• Support social media engagement strategies.
• Promote departmental news and events to university-wide media outlets

Multimedia Production
• Support concert livestreams and event recording
• Capture artist interviews and faculty spotlights for marketing
• Ensure accessibility and optimize content for digital platforms

Administrative Support
• Report budgets and ticket revenue
• Use Monday.com for task and project management
• Respond to patron inquiries and coordinate ticketing with Patron and Rental Services Manager
• Support personnel administration tasks as needed

In addition to a resume and cover letter, applicants must supply a design/marketing sample.


• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, arts administration, or related field.
• Experience in event coordination, digital marketing, and multimedia production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Preferred:
• Experience in higher education or arts institutions.
• Familiarity with Drupal, EMS, 25Live, and Monday.com.
• Knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards, and audience engagement strategies.

Work Schedule: M-F 9:00-5:00, Occasional weekend or evening hours for event.

Work Arrangement: On-Campus: Teams that work on campus, in an office, or in a lab.

Requested Pay Rate: 25.00
