A quick overview of EAT:
The Powerplant Engineer is responsible for the dedicated systems of the fleet providing support for on and off-wing components. The role maintains the contact to the various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to provide Engineering support.
The TS Engineer Powerplant is responsible for the engines, APUs, and nacelle components of the fleet. He/she maintains contact with various manufacturers (OEMs) to provide technical support.
He/she offers technical support for:
Maintenance Department (troubleshooting, providing information, research)
Logistics Department, if alternative spare part units need to be defined
Finance Department for accounting
Technical support within Engineering:
Assisting in the creation of Reliability Reports
Responsible for the technical creation, review, and adjustment of the aircraft and engine maintenance program (MP).
Management of the airworthiness of the fleet (specifically: engines, APUs, nacelles):
Support in tracking components that prove problematic over time, provided they are part of the dedicated system
Identification and resolution of recurring issues
Review, analysis, and preparation of specific work instructions or maintenance procedures based on guidelines from manufacturers (Service Bulletins (SBs)) and/or aviation authorities (Airworthiness Directives (ADs)).
Administrative processing of maintenance data or recommendations
Tracking of inspections or modifications, maintenance tasks during operations
Preparation of required reports in the event of technical investigations or analyses
Monitoring engine condition: reviewing trends and determining corrective and preventive actions
Preparation of work packages for engine overhauls. Review of maintenance documents following the overhaul
Responsible for specific technical projects
Defining and improving departmental processes
Identifying and proposing potential cost-saving opportunities
Willingness to work on weekends
