Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Provides technical support and leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining high quality technology integration into teaching and learning for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS).
  • Uses digital tools and applications in enhancing instruction and improving student performance in the classroom or live streaming.
  • Provides technical support for classrooms used by CEPS located at University Commons.
  • Instructs users in the operation of presentation hardware and software.
  • Schedules, sets up, monitors, and supports live streaming for CEPS.
  • Records, edits, and uploads videos to Canvas (LMS) using lecture-capture software.
  • Uses Adobe Creative Cloud to professionally produce videos for CEPS.
  • Performs daily operational checks of technology in CEPS classrooms located at University Commons.
  • Assists the faculty before, during, and after class to ensure the educational content is available to the students.
  • Maintains and updates the College’s website.
  • Develops and provides professional development on training materials for faculty and staff on the use of computer applications to support teaching.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems for faculty and students.
  • Keeps digital signage updated on a daily basis.
  • Assists with installing new technologies such as computers, projectors, touch screens, monitors, and web cameras.
  • Communicates with the Dean concerning any technical issues in classrooms or problems that involve teaching.
  • Keeps daily records of work.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
