The Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Villanova School of Business is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems (MIS). This faculty member will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Artificial Intelligence as well as other MIS areas. The faculty member is expected to publish high quality research in top MIS journals. This person will report to the Chair of the Accounting and Information Systems Department and will begin in Fall 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach MIS courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Competitive teaching loads are offered based on research output.
  • Publish high quality research in any area of MIS primarily targeting top peer-reviewed academic MIS journals listed on the Villanova School of Business MIS journal list.
  • Perform service commensurate with faculty rank.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. with teaching experience
  • Potential to publish in high quality journals
  • Willingness to work in a collegial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in IS or MIS or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated track record of high-quality teaching
  • Evidence of high-quality scholarly research
  • Ability to work with other faculty and contribute to a collegial environment
