As an IT Infrastructure Co-Op, you will gain hands-on experience across infrastructure & operations, and cybersecurity. This offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical technical initiatives while building practical skills in a real-world enterprise environment.

 

As a co-op, you will work alongside experienced engineers and assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure systems including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms.              

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with hardware and software setupdeployment, upgrades, and maintenance of systems across the organization (desktops, servers, network devices).
  • Provide technical support to internal users, helping resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 infrastructure-related issues.
  • Help with monitoring system performance, network availability, and security logs under supervision.
  • Support the configuration and management of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Contribute to IT asset inventory management and lifecycle documentation.
  • Assist in cloud infrastructure tasks (Azure, AWS, etc.), depending on exposure and training.
  • Participate in IT projects such as network upgrades, server virtualization, and cybersecurity assessments.
  • Follow all IT policies and contribute to creating or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
  • Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.

   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, Windows/Linux OS, and system administration.
  • Exposure to coursework involving Active Directory, virtualization (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V), cloud computingor scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow technical skills in a real-world IT setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and work with our Company Values.

 

Preferred

  • Familiarity with enterprise networking (switches, firewalls, VLANs)
  • Exposure to IT ticketing systems (e.g., InvGate, ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals or frameworks (NIST, CIS)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
