Purpose of the Role:
Lead the review, optimization, and implementation of customs billing processes, ensuring their efficiency, continuity, regulatory compliance, and traceability. The role acts as a liaison between key areas, ensuring the effective integration and interaction of customs processes with accounting, billing, and collection systems, in line with local and international regulations and the group's internal standards.
Key Activities:
· Comprehensively analyze the flow of all customs processes and their interaction with accounting, billing, and operations, identifying critical points and opportunities for improvement.
· Detect operational, tax, and compliance risks, as well as inefficiencies or duplications in processes to mitigate regulatory compliance risks.
· Design and implement continuous improvement and compliance initiatives, including automation, standardization of reports, and strengthening of internal controls.
· Coordinate processes and identify needs with key areas (Finance, Operations, and Sales) to ensure the proper execution of projects in line with financial and operational objectives.
· Document and update policies, procedures, and operating manuals related to customs invoicing and other financial processes.
· Attend and follow up on internal and external audits and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
· Establish and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) such as customs release times, accounting accuracy, and associated costs.
· Act as PMO in strategic financial projects, leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of cross-functional initiatives.
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
• University degree in Administration, Economics, Foreign Trade, Engineering, or related disciplines. Postgraduate degree desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in billing processes, preferably in customs environments and multinational companies with regional reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting, tax, and operational processes related to billing.
• Experience in multifunctional project management; certifications in methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile are highly valued.
• Cross-functional leadership skills, influence without authority, and effective change management.
• Advanced English (spoken and written), with the ability to interact with regional and corporate teams.
