Responsibilities

As a UAS Pilot, you will work as part of a crew in the field to carry out missions and successfully acquire data for survey and inspection projects. 

  • Under the review and direction of the Flight Operations Manager, perform aerial data collection using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
  • Act as the Pilot in Command while flying unmanned aerial projects
  • Conduct pre-flight mission planning and coordination, including filing NOTAMS, submitting COA requests, and conducting pre-flight and on site risk
  • Perform preventative maintenance on sensor equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles
  • Conduct field data checks following data collection to ensure adequate project coverage
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals


Qualifications



  • Good communication (oral and written) and organizational skills are essential
  • A passion for troubleshooting problems in the field
  • Candidate should demonstrate previous experience with UAVs, and an ability to quickly become proficient in the use of such technology
  • Ability to operate independent of daily direction and overcome obstacles encountered during field work
  • FAA issued Part 107 Remote Pilot Airman’s Certificate required. No minimum flight hour experience
  • Survey field experience preferred
