Marketing Manager
This role plays an integral part in Division of Student Affairs department services. It leads 50% of the Division’s overall marketing strategy and project management, with direct responsibility for two major areas. The role is pivotal in building strong partnerships with department clients, ensuring that marketing requests are managed effectively and that students and families are meaningfully connected to events, programs, services, and campus resources.
A successful candidate for this role requires:

Manages and oversees team responsible for developing and implementing data-driven, targeted marketing materials and plans to publicize and promote University activities, services, products, and events. Creates and administers effective marketing campaigns; manages social media and email campaigns. Establishes new funding and revenue sources.
A marketing manager on our team: Creates and implements marketing materials and plans; Develops, plans, coordinates, and implements programs to publicize and promote various activities, events, services, and products; establishes methods for increasing participation in programs; Conducts demographic and other marketing studies to identify trends to maximize effectiveness of marketing efforts; researches targeted markets and evaluates marketing strategies to identify potential consumers of products and/or services; Gathers data on existing or potential customers, competitors, or market segments for use in the development of targeted marketing strategies; Collects information or specifications for use in data sheets, promotional publications, presentations, or brochures and prepares draft versions; Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions; Recommends pricing and promotion and develops market evaluations and marketing plans; Develops and administers marketing campaigns or other promotional opportunities and ensures that associated deadlines are met; Manages email marketing and social media campaigns; Identifies and establishes new funding sources; develops and implements strategies to enhance traditional or existing sources of funds; Assists in special projects such as cost feasibility studies for proposed or ongoing programs; Supervises staff, including hiring, distributing and reviewing work, performance reviews, and documenting disciplinary actions and other human resource administration. Manages work schedules and approves timecards. Provides professional development opportunities.
This position is primarily sedentary with the need to occasionally travel to other locations on campus for meetings or events (both in our building and on upper campus).
