The ideal applicant hasextensive years of experience as a crane operatorand maneuvers equipment in a safe manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safelyoperateand maintain various constructionmachinery including cranes, fiction cranes,hydraulic cranes,etc.
  • Always follow McCarthys safety policiesand under no circumstances by-pass or deactivate any safety features
  • Identifyandcommunicate hazards, and danger zones
  • Perform daily inspections and Monthly Boom Down inspections,bringing all safety issuesup to site management
  • Assistwith the creation of critical lift plans
  • Safely lift and carry loads by using proper equipment
  • Performor ensure the 8 hour/shift greasing requirements are completed
  • Alwaysmaintaincrane cab and job siteclean
  • Completes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experienceoperating cranes incommercial, civil, or marineconstruction projects
  • Must have all the required certifications and trainings tooperatethe equipment
  • Must know and understandcrane functions, limits,safety features,and how they will affect the cranes operation
  • Know and understand all hand signals as per ASME 830.5
  • Read andunderstand load charts
  • Identifyand use common construction materials, hand tools, and power/electrical tools
  • Understand construction terminology
  • Proven commitment to Safety
  • Work in an organized manner
  • Able to work night shifts when needed
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Abilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 pounds
  • Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
  • Minimum age 18+
  • Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
