Job Description

We are looking for a Lead, Cyber Threat Intelligence who will be responsible for analyzing, detecting, and communicating cyber threats. This position plays a key role in the delivery documentation for threats and also is a key collaborator with peer teams such as incident responders, SIEM engineering teams, vulnerability management, etc. This role requires 5 or more years of experience and in-depth security research experience with functional understanding of common threat analysis models.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be a key contact for, and lead the management of the threat intelligence program.
  • Document the current state of the threat intelligence program and develop procedures where any gaps of current tasks/processes exist.
  • Assist in the management of Social Media / Physical Security Alerts and assist in the management of phishing site takedowns
  • Maintain awareness of the cyber threat landscape and provide key/relevant updates and insights to the leadership and InfoSec teams.
  • Conduct in-depth research into offensive cyber tools and cyber threat actors/APTs, translate TTPs per the MITRE ATT&CK taxonomy.
  • Help identify and provide information to the relevant teams to assist in the remediation of technical vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Demonstrate ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and complete your own work, whilst remaining a team player and leader in your space.
  • Ability to interact successfully with all levels of management.
  • Work with various business units and technical disciplines in a security consultant role for cyber threats.
  • Develop new threat intelligence capabilities using current technical solutions.
  • Review and recommend the procurement, modification or replacement of software or managed services to assist in threat intelligence work.
  • Act as a mentor/guide and participate in development of junior analysts.
  • Produce threat intelligence products, reports, and intelligence briefings to provide actionable information to NewsCorp's tactical and strategic stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with peer teams such as the incident responders, SIEM engineering team, vulnerability management, Red Teams, etc., to provide relevant intelligence, priorities and assess the impact of potential threats to NewsCorp.
  • This role will be responsible for managing and participating in threat intelligence on call responsibilities. This may include incident or journalist protection support.


Experience:
  • Experience within Cyber Security 3-7 years
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Serve as a leader on threat intelligence, brand protection and domain risks.
  • Demonstrated passion for cyber security.
  • Good understanding of security operations, cyber defense, network security, threat intelligence, incident response.
  • Experience/Understanding of Cloud based services (AWS, Azure), technologies and providers (eg SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of multiple computing platforms, including Network, Windows, OSX, Linux, Unix, networks and endpoints.
  • Familiar with YARA, STIX, TAXII, OpenIOC
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical knowledge to non-technical audience; production of policy/standards/project documentation


Desired Qualifications:
  • Security Certifications Preferred (Including but not limited to the following certifications): CISM, CISSP
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Job Category:

Pay Range: $120,000 - $155,000 + Bonus
